Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) and Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) have signed an educational grant agreement as part of the two parties’ efforts to support the educational process and provide educational and employment opportunities for outstanding students, in addition to providing educational grants to students.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by its president, Professor Dr. Wejdan Abu Elhaija, and on behalf of the Bank, by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Haethum Buttihki.
Under this agreement, JKB will introduce a dedicated scholarship program exclusively for students of PSUT. This program is one of the Bank’s most important goals, designed to provide a sustainable human resource for outstanding and qualified students from the University. In addition, the program supports the local community economically and socially by contributing to the employment of new graduates.
For his part, Buttikhi praised the efforts made by the university in developing education and empowering young people to achieve their academic and professional aspirations. He expressed his optimism that this corporation will be a positive turning point in the lives of students, as part of the Bank’s contribution to sustainable development, serving the community, supporting the education sector, and contributing to the market with qualified and outstanding workforce.
Dr. Abu Elhaija emphasized that this cooperation comes within the framework of strategic partnership and social responsibility, and existing partnerships with the banking sector in enhancing the educational environment and providing the necessary financial and technical support to achieve the university’s commitment to providing students with everything they need from an educational environment that is innovative and has distinguished resources and opportunities in both the academic and professional aspects, to provide the global market with qualified competencies and experiences that are qualified with the technological and scientific developments that the world is witnessing.
The signing ceremony was attended by the university’s Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Bassam Hammo, the Dean of King Abdullah I School of Graduate Studies & Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Raed Mesleh, the Dean of King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, Dr. Firas Alghanim, the Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, Dr. George Sammour, and the Director of Finance, Yazan Abu Yaghi.
